About APCEI

APCEI was founded in August 1986 by two friends, Juanito S. Coronel (Johnny) and Floro M. Flores (Floro). One month later, on September 29, 1986, the company went into full operation at its first office at 176 Salcedo Street, Legaspi Village, Makati City.

Because of the many years of experience in the publications marketing, sales and distribution, Johnny and Floro were confident that the company will become a successful player in the trade. While it was very clear that the intention of the business is to be profitable, it was also their sincere desire to share the profits with their employees. Two phrases from the gospel became their inspiration :

"Seek first the kingdom of God and all the rest will be given you aside"

"Whatever you do to the least of my brothers, this you do unto me."

The company bought its own real estate property in 1998 and moved to APCEI Building at 3462 Florida Street, Palanan, Makati City in January 1999.

In 2004, APCEI became a member of Distripress.

The company adheres to the concept of the Economy of Communion (EoC) launched by Chiara Lubich, foundress of the Focolare Movement. This economic concept inspired by the Gospel, invites entrepreneurs to create new and viable business that will commit a portion of their earnings, not just their surplus, to help the poor, support structures for the spiritual formation of people, and spread the "culture of giving" instead of the "culture of having".

Through the years, APCEI continues to grow, upholding a management strategy rooted in service, mutual respect and brotherhood. Moving into the 21st Century, APCEI looks into the future with much optimism, fully aware of the demands of growing a business in the age of information technology.
